Definition
Lokvita — from Latin locus (place) and vita (life) — is the innate, inalienable, and inviolable space of a human life.
It does not arise from property, contract, citizenship, merit, or a state decision. It follows from the mere fact of bodily existence.
“To live is to have a place to be.”
What Lokvita includes
A stable space to inhabit; rest, solitude, and keeping of personal things; protection from total expulsion; access to conditions without which life cannot continue; recognition of a personal spatial boundary.
What Lokvita is not
It is not an unconditional right to any plot, unlimited real-estate ownership, cancellation of responsibility, an ordinary housing program, or a political ideology. One person’s Lokvita is not realized by destroying another’s.
