Recognizing the human being as a living, bodily, and rooted being; knowing that every life needs space to exist; recognizing that full alienation from a habitat leads to suffering and destruction of life — we proclaim every person’s right to Lokvita.
Core points
1. Right of birth. The right to Lokvita belongs by the fact of birth.
2. Inviolability. A person may not be wholly deprived of the necessary space of life as punishment or social exclusion.
3. Non-market foundation. The minimally necessary space of life must not depend solely on ability to pay.
4. Duty of recognition. States do not create the right to Lokvita; they recognize it and create legal conditions for its exercise.
5. Mutuality of boundaries. One person’s Lokvita is not realized by destroying another’s.
6. Foundation of peace. Respect for another’s place to be is a necessary condition of human peace.
